You might be wondering if you could pull off last-minute engagement photos in Seattle of your own? And I will be the first person to tell you that yes, it is absolutely possible!
The bride and groom-to-be reached out to me about two days before we met for their engagement session. They loved my prior work at Golden Gardens. They knew it was absolutely the place for them to celebrate this moment in their relationship before becoming Mr. & Mrs.
See, the thing about Kirsten + Alex was, they knew the importance of this session and they weren’t afraid to dive in and take my advice to make it happen. During our call, I was able to provide them with direction on what to wear. And because they were visiting from Georgia, I also provided Kirsten with recommendations on where to get her nails done!

We also talked about their likes and hobbies and how to make the session unique to them. Kirsten + Alex are an adventurous, travel-loving couple. Together, they love to hike so we thought it might be fun to add a bonfire to their engagement session. But Golden Gardens is such a popular local spot that on the day of their session all the pits were taken. But not to worry, they also told me that they love enjoying a glass of Prosecco (one of my personal favorite drinks)! So we brought along a bottle and some glasses and set up a little Prosecco picnic. It was such a fun afternoon on a gorgeous spring day!
Another concern that Kirsten + Alex had going into this session was that they had never taken professional photos before. And, as is the case with most couples, they were worried. I could easily tell you that they had nothing to worry about and that their photos came out amazing, but you’ll get to see the photos in the blog below! The main reason, above all, that everything worked out so amazingly, is that they were willing to trust me! Which allowed the three of us to have a great time during their session. All of the smiles, laughter, and embracing you’ll see when you scroll through the photos below are a result of just plain old having fun!
