Novelty Hill-Januik Winery Wedding

Alex and Jermaine were married in an incredibly emotional Novelty Hill-Januik Winery Wedding!

Two CBC associates, Alexandra and Justin, were on hand to capture every magic moment of Alex & Jermaine becoming husband and wife. The bride and groom enlisted the help of Bubbly Soiree to assist them in planning and managing their best day ever. And Bubbly Soiree curated a beautifully unique wedding day befitting Alex and Jermaine’s love story!

One of the first questions I typically ask my couples is “How did you meet and fall in love?”. And for Alex and Jermaine, it was the shared hobby of bodybuilding that brought them together. Alex and Jermaine were both attending the same 24-hour gym. And they both had the same gym schedule! 5 am and then another visit to the gym again in the evening after work.

They remained gym acquaintances for about two years. That is until Jermaine offered to take Alex out to eat after a bodybuilding competition. Their shared love of trying new restaurants and introducing each other to new foods quickly grew into them sharing each weekend together. Once they realized what was happening, they officially became a couple, all the way back in December of 2016.

As their relationship grew, Jermaine began plotting a surprise proposal for Alex’s birthday. The couple planned for a Seattle staycation to take in the sights while celebrating Alex’s birthday, complete with a hotel stay. Jermaine made sure that champagne was waiting in the room and even enlisted the help of a friend to light candles ahead of time. The very last surprise waiting for Alex was a ring. Jermaine got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Overjoyed, she said yes and Alex and Jermaine went out for a celebratory dinner at Aerlume; one of their favorite local restaurants!

When they began planning, they set their sights on a Novelty Hill-Januik Winery wedding. This modern winery is located on the east side of Washington, an area that is like our own little version of Napa Valley! Novelty Hill-Januik is a working winery and a wedding venue. All of the wine is produced in-house and you can get a birds-eye view of how they work with the grapes to curate some of their top-rated bottles.

I knew instantly when Alex & Jermaine decided to plan their wedding at Novelty Hill-Januik Winery, it would be a romantic day. One filled with unabashed emotion and love overflowing in every direction. I got to witness it firsthand, the night before their wedding at the rehearsal dinner. A beautifully planned dinner with catered food and a bartender on hand to serve guests custom-crafted drinks. Being in Alex and Jermaine’s presence, surrounded by their family, felt familiar to me. It felt like the comfort and safety of being in the presence of my own family.

That unabashed love and emotion, it wasn’t just from the bride and groom. It was from their friends and family too. In fact, Jermaine’s friends flew in from Atlanta to be by his side on his wedding day. On the day of their wedding, Alex shared a first look with her Grandfather, Dad, and brother. There was not a dry eye in the house when they turned around to embrace Alex, in her gorgeous off-the-shoulder lace accented wedding gown.

Jermaine’s parents are no longer with us, so when it came time to hit the dance floor, he shared a first dance with a very special Aunt. She happily stepped into the role with a fun dance that had the crowd clapping along. Another beautiful, albeit funny moment at Alex and Jermaine’s wedding?
