Alki Beach
Alki Beach is a 2.5 – mile long public beach located along Elliott Bay in West Seattle. The beach features panoramic views of downtown Seattle, Mt . Rainier, Bainbridge Island, and more.
Discovery Park
Discovery Park is a 534-acre urban park located in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. With 12 miles of walking trails, two beaches, and breathtaking views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, Discovery Park is one of the best places to take photos in Seattle!
Kerry Park
Kerry Park is a 1.26-acre public park located on the south side of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. This spot is especially popular for its unobstructed view of the Space Needle, Elliott Bay, Mount Rainier, and the downtown skyline.
Gas Works Park
Another iconic spot with stunning views of downtown Seattle is Gasworks Park. It features an old industrial vibe which makes it perfect for capturing unique city vibes without having to worry about crowds getting in the way during your photoshoot. The towers at Gasworks provide great leading lines for those epic shots! Gas Works Park is a 19.1-acre public park on the site of a former coal gasification plant on the north shore of Lake Union in Seattle. The park’s most iconic feature is probably the massive rusty machinery that has been converted into play structures and climbing areas for kids.
Volunteer Park Conservatory
The Volunteer Park Conservatory is a historic glass house located in Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill in Seattle. The Conservatory houses a collection of exotic plants from around the world, making it a beautiful and unique place to take photos all year round!
Golden Gardens Park
Golden Gardens is a popular spot located near Ballard with breathtaking views of Puget Sound. This beach park offers multiple rocky shorelines and grassy fields for various backdrops and settings. It’s especially perfect if you’re looking for more intimate and romantic vibes like my couples often are!
Snoqualmie Falls
Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington’s most popular scenic attractions. The 268-foot waterfall is located just 30 minutes east of Seattle near the town of Snoqualmie. Visitors can view the falls from an observation deck at the top or take a short hike down to the base of the falls for an up-close look.
Pioneer Square
Pioneer Square is Seattle’s oldest neighborhood and home to art galleries, cobblestone streets, cafes and restaurants, and historic buildings like Smith Tower (the second tallest building west of the Mississippi when it was built in 1914!).
Pike Place Market
Pike Place Market is one of Seattle’s most iconic landmarks and one of my personal favorite places to take photos! The market dates back to 1907 and is home to farmers’ markets, craft stalls, seafood vendors, bakeries, cafes, and more.
Olympic Sculpture Park
The Olympic Sculpture Park is a 9-acre public park located on Puget Sound in downtown Seattle with sweeping views of Elliott Bay and the nearby Olympic Mountains. The sculpture park is free to enter and features both indoor and outdoor spaces for exploring contemporary art installations from world-renowned artists such as Alexander Calder and Richard Serra.
Post Alley
Post Alley is a main pedestrian thoroughfare Pike Place Market known for its narrow alleyways lined with small shops & restaurants!
Waterfall Garden Park
Waterfall Garden Park is a minimalist urban oasis located in downtown Seattle featuring a man-made waterfall & stream that flows through the middle of brick pathways & greenery!
Seattle Waterfront
A great place to walk from Pioneer Square during your engagement session is the Seattle Waterfront! Who doesn’t love a scenic waterfront setting for their engagement photos? Seattle has some unique waterfront options that will help you capture your special moment. Head to the Olympic Sculpture Park along Seattle’s waterfront and pose in front of the grand green lawn, towering trees and colorful sculptures. Complement it by making a trip to Myrtle Edwards Park, where can walk along the boardwalk and marvel at the incredible views of Puget Sound and Elliott Bay.
Kerry Park
This one is an absolute classic! The view of the skyline from Kerry Park is nothing short of breathtaking. This location is great for sunset sessions when you can really get that glowing golden hour light in your photos. Kerry Park also offers a variety of other scenic views as well as plenty of natural foliage for a more organic feel.
Kubota Garden
Located in the Rainier Beach area of Seattle, Kubota Garden is a 20-acre oasis right in the city. Filled with winding paths, ponds and streams, this serene hideaway is perfect for taking engagement photos. The meandering paths are lined with stunning cherry blossom trees and magnolias that make a stunning backdrop to your pictures.
