This wedding at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle was the union of two high school sweethearts. Yes, S & T met in high school! They remained steadfast friends, realizing later that they had found in each other what they had long been searching for. Someone to laugh with and someone who they could share every aspect of life with. Their deep connection remained at the center of their relationship year after year. That is until one fateful Valentine’s weekend.

That weekend, they dressed up and prepared to spend a night together out on the town. The surprises all began when S arrived at the car. She was greeted with 24 long-stem Venus et Fleur roses. Luxurious roses with a fragrant smell that lasts over a year. They continued to head out for the night, making their way towards downtown Seattle where a sea plane ride around Puget Sound awaited.

They then stopped by Daniels Broiler for a drink when a sudden ‘emergency’, just so happened to pop up. A friend needed something from their workspace next door, so naturally S & T were happy to oblige the request. However, when they arrived for the ‘item’ in question, it was, of course, a different story. S peeked her head inside and noticed a room full of their family and friends, and was immediately overcome with nervous excitement. She made her way down an aisle lined with petals which led to a heart and marquee letters that read “Will you marry me”? Overcome with joy, she quickly said yes and the night was spent in celebration with their friends and family who all pitched in for the proposal. A close friend captured it all on video while another served up amazing eats for guests.

With their proposal in hand, S & T began to plan the wedding of their dreams. They quickly realized that decision fatigue is a real struggle when it comes to planning a wedding! But, no matter, S & T, as always, worked together to check off all the important details on their wedding planning list. Above all, before they landed on selecting the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle, they had a blast touring local venues, enjoying tastings, and designing the details of their day that mattered to them the most.

They offer suites on-site for couples who wish to spend the night before or the night of their wedding at the venue. Additionally, the venue is within walking distance of some of the most amazing shops and hotels that Seattle has to offer. Weddings at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle take place in their Crystal Ballroom and can accommodate anywhere from 90 to 250 guests, which is dependent upon your selected seating arrangement. They also offer additional indoor spaces, if you wish to host your ceremony at the venue for an all-in-one-stop shop.
