DeMyla and Trunel got engaged on Thanksgiving 2019! They contacted me in December to photograph their engagement session in 2020 and I thought Pioneer Square engagement photos would be a great fit for their style! They’re a very chill couple that was just enjoyable to be around. I didn’t even realize how much time had passed because we were having such a great time!
Pioneer Square is Especially Stunning in the Winter
We met up in Pioneer square on Sunday afternoon and began walking around downtown Seattle looking for spots to shoot. We were a little worried about potentially postponing the session because it’d been snowing a few days prior- and Seattle becomes immobile when it snows! The session was a little over two hours because they were flexible and agreed to keep walking to the pier to catch glimpses of the Great Wheel at Pier 57, which is a newer tourist attraction that Seattle is known for because it’s got a great view of downtown Seattle as well as the Puget Sound!
Their session set the tone for a great start for 2020! I loved that they didn’t mind that it was cold, and we got to get some great natural light shots as well as playing with artificial light once the sun went down! Toward the end, they even started dancing. The vibe was just awesome. I’m so excited to be shooting their wedding next November!
