Hyatt Regency Lake Washington Wedding

S & T are officially married! Their Hyatt Regency Lake Washington wedding was a beautiful celebration of love and the coming together of two families. Their journey together all began with a chance meeting at a “BBQ”. Which just so happened to be hosted at T’s place!

Back in spring of 2021, S was invited to a BBQ at T’s place. She was reluctant to attend. However, the idea of a social gathering with good food, music, and fun with friends convinced her to change her mind. But, when the day of the alleged BBQ arrived, S was in for a surprise. Orchestrated by a close friend, the BBQ ended up being more like a blind date with T! Despite the “mix-up” in the details of the invitation, S spent the evening in T’s company. Their conversation was effortless and their connection was easygoing. As the night unfolded they swapped stories and shared laughs.

Over time S and T’s relationship slowly evolved from a close companionship to officially dating. During the next two years together, S and T began to blend their families recognizing the importance of coming together as one loving family. The summer of their two-year anniversary T popped the question. In keeping with all they had built together and strived for, T planned a proposal with the help of his son as well as S’s daughters. The beautifully symbolic proposal, of course, received a yes from S, and the couple set out to plan their Hyatt Regency Lake Washington wedding.

Overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Washington, The Hyatt Regency is a wedding venue with idyllic scenery in every direction. In addition to lakeside views, the venue offers a backdrop of the Seattle skyline and the Olympic Mountains all from the comfort of their rooftop terrace. With friends and family gathered S and T hosted their wedding ceremony on the terrace of the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington. Rows of white chairs were set out and flowers adorned the aisle in preparation for S and T’s union.

In keeping with the importance of honoring the blended family they’ve created, S and T’s children served as the members of their wedding party. Standing beside them as they became husband and wife, T’s son, and S’s two daughters were overcome with joy at the happiness their parents had found in one another.

The beautifully planned details of their wedding day incorporated a wedding color palette of crisp white and navy blue. But it was S who put together the floral arrangements at their reception! Voluminous crisp hydrangea accented each of the guests’ tables. Meanwhile, eucalyptus garland was strewn across the sweetheart table for S and T. When they took the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife, the entire room cheered in their honor, setting the mood for a fun celebration well into the night.
