Downtown Seattle Courthouse Elopement
Cynthia & Dave’s Downtown Seattle Courthouse elopement reminded me how important family and loved ones are and that they should be cherished. So many couples chose to elope or have a micro wedding with only those closest to them and this has helped me reshape the model of my business. By focusing on intimacy, couples are having a wholesome experience spending the day with their partners, focusing on their love, and celebrating with a select group of people granted the honor of witnessing the ceremonial event.
With it’s beautiful landscapes and landmarks, Seattle has several places for a stunning elopement. Whenever I do elopements or microweddings, I love to travel to a few places with my couples to make sure they get a variety of photos of themselves enjoying each other all around the city, and to make the experience that much more memorable.
Friendship, Love, and Family
For this Downtown Seattle elopement, Dave and Cynthia chose to marry at the King County Courthouse because it’s where Dave had worked for over twenty years as a clerk! This location now represented a place where they’d step into the next stage of their lives. To do the honors of presideing over their marriage, they asked a Judge Dave had the pleasure of working with over the years. Cythina and Dave were actually long-time friends. Decades later they discovered love and joined their families together to create one big happy blend.
After the ceremony, we headed down to the historical Seattle waterfront and walked along the pier and the Seattle Aquarium for some stunning photos. It was important to Dave that we got a nice “just married” photo of the two in his Audi in front of the Seattle Great wheel. So that’s what we did! After our couples session, we met up with the family at Bucco di buco Italian restaurant for dinner and cake cutting.
