Chihuly Garden and Glass Wedding

This Chihuly Garden and Glass wedding was a beautiful day of celebration, with Maddy and Dennis adding a gender reveal to their wedding vows! I cannot say enough about this sweet, loving couple. I’ve had the pleasure of documenting their love story since the announcement of their engagement during the pandemic. In fact, it was during lockdowns that Maddy and Dennis met. A dating app brought them together, but a blessing from their elders strengthened their bond. At the time, they chose to host an intimate rooftop wedding ceremony during the pandemic. Ultimately, looking forward to the day their family and friends could travel from afar to be by their side on the day of their celebratory wedding.

With Maddy’s undeniable sense of style, a modern and elegant Chihuly Garden and Glass wedding was planned. Their stunning wedding venue, Chihuly Garden and Glass, is nestled beneath the Seattle Space Needle. The venue features some of the most breathtaking pieces of glass artistry. The artwork is vibrant and colorful. But, paired with the venue’s setting against the backdrop of an urban garden sprawl, the museum is an extraordinary Seattle wedding venue for any local couple planning a memorable event.

Having photographed their engagement session and their rooftop vows, I was beyond excited to meet the arrival of Maddy & Dennis’s Chihuly Garden and Glass Wedding. The morning began in Maddy’s geting ready suite at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Her hair and makeup team were present, getting Maddy, her bridesmaids, and her adorable nieces aisle-ready. Maddy and Dennis wanted to meet for a first look before their ceremony. So my team and I arranged the perfect setting for them in front of Fairmont Olympic Hotel. The moment they laid eyes on one another was unforgettable, filling Maddy and Dennis with a range of beautiful emotions. Furthermore, the delight of knowing their Chihuly Garden and Glass dream wedding day had finally arrived brought about a ‘full circle’ moment.

Chihuly Garden and Glass Wedding

Their wedding ceremony took place inside a 40’ tall glasshouse at Chihuly Garden and Glass. Within the glass house, there are works of art suspended from the ceiling. The main focal point features a 100’ long sculpture with colors embodying that of a golden sunset. Under the sunlight, with the glasswork above, Maddy and Dennis stood before their friends and family and vowed to love one another faithfully for all of their days. But it was during their vows that their officiant, Cherise of Another One Ties the Knot, announced to a room full of people they love and cherish the most that Maddy and Dennis are expecting a sweet baby girl! Their friends and family were over the moon to witness Maddy and Dennis’s wedding vows. But the surprise gender reveal filled the atmosphere with palpable joy.

As the sun went down, the very same space where Maddy and Dennis tied the knot transformed into their wedding reception. Nightfall brought with it a different perspective on the glass house, with glowing artwork illuminating the space as everyone took the dance floor to celebrate Maddy and Dennis. Their Chihuly Garden and Glass house wedding reception provided their guests with an immersive experience where they dined, danced, and came together in joyous celebration.
