After working with Brynn and Robbie on their in-home engagement photos, capturing their Laurel Creek Manor wedding felt like stepping into the celebration of an old friend. They are two souls whose deep love pours into their friends and family. All in all, creating intimate connections with everyone who surrounds them.
When they shared the details of their long-distance relationship and how their proposal story unfolded, I was prepared to focus on the quiet moments and emotionally driven narrative of their wedding at Laurel Creek Manor in Sumner.
You see, their relationship began long-distance. But Brynn and Robbie found a unique way to connect on the days they couldn’t be together. They each had the same recipe book stashed away in their kitchen. Flipping through the pages and ‘cooking together’ became their new normal on the days when they were still states away. This sweet gesture provided me with a glimpse into their connection. Emphasizing their commitment to one another in a fun way that embodies their personalities.

Laurel Creek Manor Garden Wedding Celebration
When I heard the details of their engagement story, I was equally delighted. Brynn and Robbie were vacationing by the lake in Oregon, enjoying a leisurely stay by each other’s side. Brynn was on the phone with a friend who lived outside the country, sharing the details of her stay, recounting the fun memories she and Robbie were creating together.
Similar to a scene out of a movie, Brynn’s friend then ‘showed up at the door’, leaving Brynn overcome by a flood of joyful emotions and happy tears. This well-thought-out proposal, intimate in nature yet deep in meaning, signified the way that Brynn and Robbie navigate life together. Side by side, with a close-knit circle of friends who feel like family.
Those connections and meaningful moments carried through to their wedding day with details that echo the life Brynn and Robbie are building together. It all began in the getting-ready suite on the morning of their Laurel Creek Manor wedding. While Robbie was playing an impromptu game of Lacrosse with his Dad, Brynn’s space was overflowing with the members of her wedding party, parents, and fun decor elements that felt like a party all their own.

Private Moments & Emotionally Driven Details at Laurel Creek Manor in Sumner
Putting the final touches on her wedding day attire, Brynn prepared to meet Robbie at Laurel Creek Manor for first look wedding photos. The private pre-ceremony moment shared between Brynn and Robbie took place in the garden of the venue, near a stone fountain. Creating an atmosphere of whimsy before their wedding ceremony began.
Laurel Creek Manor hosts wedding ceremonies outdoors, on the grounds of their estate. Offering couples a romantic yet intimate setting, where wedding vows are exchanged with their friends and family in attendance. Brynn made her way down the aisle, with her sister by her side, hands tightly clasped in unity.
From the first steps down the woven garden path to the pronouncement of marriage, Brynn and Robbie’s Laurel Creek Manor wedding ceremony was one overcome with emotion. The feeling was palpable, almost tangible, and extended to all who were present.

Sunset Photos by a Field of Sunflowers
Wanting to further draw on intimate moments throughout their wedding day, Brynn and Robbie opted to have a private cocktail hour, just the two of them. As guests mixed and mingled, Brynn and Robbie sat on the porch of the venue, enjoying a pre-reception cocktail, soaking in the moment.
However, their tented wedding celebration at Laurel Creek Manor awaited, and it was time to join their guests for dinner in the garden. Dancing took place in the open air, under the stars. But, before the night was through, I worked with Brynn and Robbie on sunset wedding portraits.
Just across the street from Laurel Creek Manor is a field of towering sunflowers. Wanting to capture the tall yellow blooms, Brynn and Robbie snuck away from their guests to meet with me at the gates to their venue. With the pastoral setting in the backdrop, I photographed Brynn and Robbie as the night of their wedding drew to a close.
