Bri and Bobby are engaged! And they were an absolute joy to work with during their Bellevue Botanical Garden Engagement Photos.

This beautiful couple met the good old-fashioned way, online! Through Bumble to be exact. Though they both admitted they could share tales of prior online dating nightmares, they knew it was meant to be when they found one another. In fact, Bri said that her experience of meeting Bobby reminded her that when things are meant to be, everything just falls into place!

The boy from Bellevue and the girl from Des Moines met and fell in love. They filled their days together enjoying recreational snowboarding. As their penchant for active hobbies drew them closer together, it was inevitable that a proposal was on its way!

Bobby planned an epic proposal that lined up with celebrating Bri’s 30th birthday! Bobby has a friend who owns a Cessna. So he reached out to ask for a little help in the proposal department. Bobby’s friend agreed and took the couple for a scenic flight over downtown Seattle before heading to Whidbey Island. Once they arrived at their destination, Bobby popped the question! It was with a resounding yes that Bri accepted.

It’s one thing for a couple lean into a phrase such as “meant to be”. But it’s quite another to experience what that looks like for them. Working with Bri and Bobby for their engagement photos at Bellevue Botanical Garden, was a manifestation of that phrase! They are so into each other, and it shined through every moment of their session. They radiated joy and followed my prompts with ease. Every snap and each second spent with them was a deeper glimpse into the love they share & the life they’ve built.

Though our session began at Bellevue Botanical Garden, it ended at their new home! The bride and groom to be recently celebrated a huge milestone with the purchase of their very first home. A home that just so happened to be in close proximity to Bellevue Botanical Garden! They wanted to take the opportunity of their engagement photos to celebrate this major milestone in their life. So I met Bri and Bobby, along with their dog Stanley (the future ring bearer!) at their house to round out their engagement session. You’ll get to see all of the details, including Stanley’s guest appearance, below.

Bri and Bobby will be married at Fireseed Catering on Whidbey Island, one of my favorite all-inclusive wedding venues! Their friends & family, along with Stanley, of course, will gather at the farm-to-table wedding venue to celebrate their love & commitment.
