James + Brianna’s Block 41 Seattle Wedding was a particularly special one for the CBC family! I’ve been following their journey since the very beginning. So for me, it was a full-circle moment to celebrate their wedding day with all of their family & friends in attendance! In all honesty, the day was flawless and there was no detail left to chance.
James and Brianna got ready for the day in their respective suites surrounded by members of their wedding party. Their sweet baby was with them as well. He started out in Mom’s getting ready suite where she dressed him in the cutest little white tux imaginable! Even though it was the morning of her wedding, Brianna was very hands-on with her little one before he made his way over to Dad’s suite. Dad was very hands-on too! Once he was in James’ suite, Dad dressed him in his cute little patent leather shoes. Then it was up to Dad and the groomsmen to make sure his hair was picture perfect. They surrounded him with love and it was so beautiful to see everyone come together that morning to make sure he was so well taken care of.
Back in Brianna’s suite, she and her bridesmaids were having their makeup done by one of my personal favorite makeup artists in the area, Shalonda! Shalonda is a celebrity makeup artist and she made sure the girl’s makeup was flawless before they slipped on their gowns. She knocked it out of the park because the bridesmaids were dressed to impress!
But, it was the bride and groom who really stole the show!
James’ look was clean, classy, and stylish, almost like a modern-day James Bond! Brianna wore a gorgeously romantic off-the-shoulder wedding dress. She looked as if she had just stepped right out of the pages of a bridal magazine! With my bride and groom, both dressed and ready to go, it was time for their first look. I have to tell you, it was positively freezing outside that day! But you would never know it by looking at James + Brianna. I don’t know if it was the excitement of the day, or them being old pros in front of the camera, but they were both so radiant.

Remember how I mentioned that James and Brianna left no detail to chance? When it was time for Brianna to walk down the aisle, the entire room went dark. Then, there were a total of three spotlights. One on James and one in front of and behind Brianna. Using the lighting in this way allowed the attention to be drawn to the back of Brianna’s gown and her cathedral-length veil. While also focusing on their reactions to each other. It was truly such a special moment that made their wedding ceremony a full experience.
Once they were pronounced husband and wife I followed James and Brianna to a room reveal of their reception space. When we arrived a string quartet played a rendition of “A Whole New World” where they shared a private dance together as husband and wife. When it was time to open their reception space to their guests, the string quartet continue to play a mix of classical music along with hip-hop! It really created a wonderful atmosphere that played into the experience of their wedding day.
Another special dance was still yet to come. James and Brianna had a dance “in the clouds”. It was a magical moment that had all of their guests pulling out their phones to capture. You’ll get to see it in the photos below! With the reception underway, the dance floors (yes, two dance floors!) were open to their guests. The upstairs dance floor was in the dining area and used for formal dances. While the downstairs dance floor had all the amazing lighting and a club-like feel to it.
But the night didn’t end there!
James and Brianna still had two big elements waiting for their experience-based wedding day. A sparkler exit and a Rolls Royce that was waiting in the wings. Scroll through the blog below to see each and every amazing element of James and Brianna’s Block 41 Seattle wedding!
