This Downtown Seattle Wedding at the Lotte Hotel was a micro wedding meets luxury!
A chance meeting in a Kenyan marketplace brought Jessica + Comex together. At the time that they met, Jessica was living in Kenya. She was visiting the local market with her son when he asked to buy some candy. Jessica didn’t have the correct change to make the purchase, so her son turned to a stranger to ask if they had the exact change. The man with the exact change? He’s now Jessica’s husband!
Jessica expressed to Comex, years before their wedding, that she had always dreamed of a surprise proposal. So he kept that in the back of his mind, and all the while, their wedding plans began to take shape. Prior to the wedding day, the groom’s cousins met up with Jessica + Comex for a family dinner.
Comex stood up as if to say grace for dinner. As he was talking, Jessica felt he was “taking forever” to get to the actual prayer and she told him to hurry up because she was hungry. He kept speaking and then asked Jessica to marry him on their wedding day. Confused by this, Jessica stopped in her tracks to take in what was going on. That’s when Comex got down on one knee and formally proposed to her. It was the perfect surprise proposal that she had always dreamed of!

The couple’s Downtown Seattle Wedding at Lotte Hotel was luxury meets boho, with heaps of love! Jessica + Comex decided that they would rather see each other at the altar, as opposed to having a first look. When they disclosed this to me, I knew instantly that they are romantics at heart! Their processional began with Jessica’s son leading the way as “ring security”, it was so adorable! The bridal party was dressed in rich tones of blues, reds, and greens. And then it was time for Jessica to make her appearance.
The doors swung open to reveal my gorgeous bride in a lacy boho dress and a pearl crown. Her mother was instantly filled with tears at the sight of her daughter making her way down the aisle on her wedding day. It was such a beautiful moment, you’ll get to see it below!
Jessica + Comex then recited their sacred vows of marriage to one another. But there was one more very special person, involved in the ceremony as well. Jessica’s son! Comex wrote personalized vows specifically for him, and he was brought to the altar to share in their sacred bond. Their love story is truly beautiful, and I feel beyond blessed to have been there to capture every moment of it!
