As a wedding photographer based in the Emerald City, I’ve had many couples ask me for suggestions on where to shoot. My advice is to pick out a spot that reflects something special about both of you. But if that’s too tricky or you’re new to the area and need some inspiration, here’s a list of my favorite locations around Seattle. Enjoy!

Pike Place Market
One of the most popular locations in downtown Seattle is the oldest continuously operating farmers’ market in the country: Pike Place Market!
If you love walking through secret alleyways, enjoy admiring the city view and landscapes, this location is for you! This iconic place will give you tons of romantic scenarios to capture your love chemistry.
Is there anything more vibrant than the farm-fresh flowers and fruits in the background? What a perfect setup for a colorful and organic photo style!
Don’t forget your photo in front of the neon sign, which is just in front of the famous fish throwing booth.
Discovery Park
I bet I’m not the only couple’s photographer that loves Discovery Park.
You simply can’t beat the variety you’ll find there.
From tidal beaches, sea cliffs, forests, and spectacular views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
If you’re all about getting to know your photographers’ vibe and building trust (which is important for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day) then Discovery Park is great for you!
I typically take my couples on a hike down to the beach, while I get to know more about their personalities and love story.
Pioneer Square
Even though I am a huge fan of green outdoors (the perfect match for my organic wedding photography style) I have to say I love Pioneer Square.
Pioneer Square is Seattle’s first official neighborhood!
The old buildings and hidden alleyways offer unique and enchanting scenes to capture your love essence. This is the perfect spot for you’re into richly historic environments with an urban-yet-classy style.
You can also walk to the pier to catch glimpses of the Great Wheel at Pier 57. This is a newer tourist attraction that Seattle is known for because it has a superb view of downtown Seattle and the Puget Sound!
